Overview

Prenda is a J2EE Web-based pawnshop system. The name is taken from the Kinaray-a language which means "to pawn". In Spanish it means jewelry.

Mostly based on a Philippine setting, features are now being added to accomodate internationalization and non-jewelry items.

Securing communication is one of the goal of the project. Spring framework with security and Hibernate conversion is in full swing.

Prenda 0.1.3 BETA Coming Soon

Spring and Hibernate framework together with Spring Security have been integrated into the project.

The SVN https://prenda.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/prenda now contains the latest development code.

Prenda 0.1.2 BETA DEMO Site and Code Released

The project received a couple of queries lately so a demo site was setup.

Some required initial data was added to aspe.sql and released as 0.1.2 BETA.

The release will add new feature support for pawning jewelry items. There will now be a weight and carat entry then a slider will automatically configure itself for the minimum and maximum value for the specified carat. The weight will be used to automatically compute the loan value.

Displaytag was also added to display pawn, redeem and pullout summary. A filter is also added to view a pawn, redeem and pullout on any date and mode.

Prenda 0.1.1 BETA Released

This release contains the jasper files to be able to export reports to PDF. Also various bugfixes are included.
